FAQ

To make sure that you’re not rushed with finding your dream dress, we recommend that you begin dress shopping at least 9 months in advance of your wedding date. This ensures that you have enough time to look, choose, and order your dress, without the worry of rushing into anything. This also allows enough time if you are modifying your dress design.  Don’t worry if your wedding is fast approaching, as rush orders are available upon request, but please note that fees will apply. We also have a range of ‘Take Away On The Day’ dresses, for when you’re a last minute bride and need a dress in a hurry. We recommend starting alterations 8 – 12 weeks before your wedding date.

Appointments are always recommended, so that we can ensure there is a changing room and a bridal stylist available for you. We usually allow walk-ins, but in COVID times, we have to insist that an appointment is made so that we can guarantee the studio is cleaned and prepped for you. If you need an out of hour’s appointment, please contact us and we will be happy to accommodate you.

Our appointment time slots are 2 hours to give you a relaxed and stress free experience. We know that choosing your dress is a very special moment, and we would hate to cut that short! If you want to go away and have a think before committing to your dress, we are more than happy to book you in for a 2nd appointment which will usually last around 45 mins to an hour.

We completely understand that life has a way of getting in the way, which may mean having to cancel your appointment. If this does happen to you, please let us know more than 48 hours in advance. If you fail to provide 48 hours’ notice or fail to show up, a £45 charge will incur. If there are ever any concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

We understand that weddings are not cheap, so will always strive to help you stay within budget for your dress. Our prices start from £499 to £3,800, with the majority of dresses being in the £1000 - £1500 bracket. We will always work closely with you to find the perfect dress! All of our dresses are priced in the studio and these can also be found in the Look Book online, which you will receive a link to when you book in with us. Please let us know what your budget is beforehand, so we can work with you to find your ‘This is the ONE dress’ without breaking the bank!

When it comes to wedding dresses, the size does not matter - so much. We will always work with you to showcase how your dress may look on you in the right size, even if the dress you are trying on doesn’t fit (we’re very inventive!).

That being said, our dress sizes range from 6 to 30 with a very good range of dresses in size 18 to 30.

We also want to inform our brides that the bridal sizes are different to high street sizes. Don’t be surprised if you’re fitting into dresses that are 2/3 sizes bigger than your usual clothing size!

If you are ever in doubt, please contact us so we can help minimise any concerns you may have.

As we work very closely with our chosen designers, we can often borrow in a dress for you to try on. This service does incur a charge that is deducted from your purchase if you buy your dress from us. Please contact us to find out more about this.

In our experience, you will require some alterations and we can recommend a great seamstress for you, but do not have an in-house seamstress.

All dresses are made to size and all designers have their own size charts. Due to this, we will always take 3 or 4 measurements and order your dress according to the relevant designer’s size chart. Remember size does not, really, matter when it comes to wedding dresses and a great seamstress can do wonders for making your dream dress come to life.

Dresses are typically made to 61” length, so the most common alterations will be dress and shoulder length. We recommend contacting a seamstress soon after your dress is ordered, so that you are booked in to see them about 6 to 12 weeks before your wedding date.

Please note, alteration charges are in addition to the cost of your dress. This is separate to us and we are not able to advise what the potential cost will be. Please speak to your seamstress to discuss any alterations or the price of alterations.

In order not to damage the gowns, our stylists will join you in the fitting room to help you in and out of the gowns. You may wear whatever makes you comfortable underneath the gowns, but we do require underwear. Feel free to wear Spanx! They are great for foundational support and help the gowns to slide right on

There are two options available to you, both require a down payment for us to place the order.

The first option requires a down payment of, at minimum, 50% of your purchases.  You will then need to pay the balance when you collect your dress in the studio. You are more than welcome to pay anything above 50% as down payment.

For approved brides, we do offer a second Finance option. This is based on ZERO percent interest rate and can be taken over 6, 9 or 12 months. This requires a down payment of 10%.  You can, however pay up to 50% of your purchase. Terms and conditions do apply. Please speak to a member of our team for more information.

Accessories are the icing on the cake. Our stylists will pull together your whole look during your bridal gown appointment. Of course, you’re always welcomed back if you need more time to make your final decision. Keep in mind, some accessories are special order too, and while they don’t usually take as much time as a wedding gown, it can be several weeks.

Depending on the style and designer, slight alterations can be made ie: adding sleeves, short sleeves vs. long sleeves, revising neckline, etc., but most of our gowns are ordered true to the intention and design of the gown.

We are happy to accommodate your bride tribe, please let us know how many people will be attending your appointment! Real Talk: As much as we love the idea of a party in our store, we believe that your fitting should be as intimate as possible. We want the focus to stay on you and what style and feeling YOU want to exude on your wedding day. We’ve found that sometimes too many opinions end up overwhelming the bride’s decision, and we don’t wish stressful shopping upon any of our brides. A great way to incorporate additional friends and family is to invite them to your pick-up appointment when your gown arrives!

Aside from your shining self, we invite you to bring any undergarments (preferably nude colored!) or shoes that you’re considering wearing on your wedding day, if applicable. Underwear is required to try on wedding dresses. We also love seeing your inspiration, you can shop our designers on Pinterest as well!

When you come in for your 90-minute bridal consult, you and your loved ones will be shown to your own fitting area, toured through our carefully curated gown selection, and given some time to shop and select the gowns that you love best for try on. Whether you already know your style or have no idea where to begin, we’re here to guide you in finding styles that make you feel your best.

Once you’re settled in, your consultant will help you try on your selections and can recommend other styles within our collections that you may have missed. When you find the one, we'll take your measurements and order the closest dress size to be made, pop the champagne, and send you and your loved ones off to celebrate in style.

A few months later when your gown arrives, you don’t have to worry about a thing. You’ll visit us to try on the gown again with accessories before visiting a recommended seamstress. Out of town brides, have no fear — we’ll make sure your gown is perfect before lovingly packing it up for shipment to you.

Depending on the designer, there is a 4-6 month lead time for all made-to-order gowns. We have some very select styles that can be made in less time, if you're in a time crunch! Rush orders are available upon request, but keep in mind that fees will apply.

As everyone’s bodies are different, all bridal gowns will need alterations to give it that perfect fit.

We regularly hold Designer Weekends, to showcase their amazing dresses and give our brides a chance to view/try on dresses we wouldn’t normally have in the studio. Some designers bring entire collections, whilst others bring in a sample collection. These dresses are only with us for a short time, so keep an eye out for our next Designer Weekend. We often offer some special time-sensitive discounts during our Designer Weekends, so it’s definitely worth coming along to them!

If you are hoping to purchase your dress, or even if you are just browsing, we do recommend bringing the person who is paying for your dress. This is because the dresses are only with us for a short time and any discounts offered only apply for the time the dresses are with us. So don’t miss out!

Whilst we do understand that things can change, made-to-order dresses, sample sale dresses, all jewellery and accessories are all final sale and we do not accept returns or exchanges. You will be agreeing to this when you sign the order form and Sale Agreement.

We are located in the heart of the Old Town in Swindon.
